Events such as New Wine run successfully thanks to the efforts of a team of volunteers. Serve on the team this year and help us make New Wine a success.
We have vacancies on two volunteer teams:
- Stewards are to welcome and register delegates and to act as guides
- To help set up and clear away specific rooms for the various groups
- To ensure cars are parked satisfactorily and that no cars are parked in the access road, ensuring access is maintained for emergency vehicles
- To maintain control at the reception area (on their allocated duty period)
Children and Youth Ministry
Welcome desk – sign in youth, check forms and allocate correct coloured wristband.
Set Up – Set up and decorate the hall in line with the theme of this year’s New Wine under the guidance of the team leader.
Catering – Friday night dinner for the youth team. Saturday morning bacon rolls for the youth and team!
Set down – Sunday night after the event is finished, set down the hall and clear everything away.
Prayer Ministry – See Becky Harrison. Please note, Prayer Ministry team must attend compulsory training.
Games – each session begins with an ‘Ice Breaker’ game designed to help the youth mix. These games are fun, exciting, noisy and sometimes even messy! We need people to help to run these games.
What are we looking for in the team?
That you have a passion for and are willing to work with children and young people in a Christian based group.
Do you have experience working with children or are you looking to build and develop experience in this area?
We are seeking people who are confident in leading a small team of volunteers and children in assigned groups.
We are also seeking volunteers who will be happy to be led by the team leaders whilst engaging and interacting with the children in their group.
We are seeking individuals who can bring their God given gifts and talents into use in a variety of ways.
You must be able to commit to two or more sessions, ideally you will be able to be on team for the full four weekend sessions:
Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, Sunday evening.
You will hold a current/valid DBS form which you will need to bring on the day or have shown to the Children’s Co-ordinators prior to the commencement of the sessions.
You will be required to complete the team application form, inclusive of signature from the Minister of your church and return this prior to the weekend to the children’s co-ordinators.
Is God calling you to help out this year?
We are looking for committed Christians to join our happy Pebbles Team.
Pebbles is on Saturday morning only for children aged 2–5. It is an opportunity for parents to leave their children and attend the conference knowing that their child(ren) is in a safe environment, knowing they are having fun and learning too!
No planning necessary just a heart to share Gods Love with children and help to grow His army!
Your time commitment would be Saturday 29th April from 08.30am -1.30pm
As a thank you, you will receive coffee and delicious biscuits and cakes, and free entry to all the other sessions at the conference.
